2024 has taught me...

2024 has taught me...

you always have the power over how you react

embody > preach

things are better than they seem

release, release, release

joy is always worth it

questions > affirmations

you are never obligated to do or say or think or feel anything

your soul knows best

you never regret going for a walk

you never regret listening to music

you have more time than you think

it’s never worth it to push through frustration, to “just do it” - when you feel frustrated with a project, take a break, do something else, and return when you have refilled your cup

demons hate fresh air

you really won’t miss social media as much as you’re afraid you will

JOMO > FOMO

you have so much more power over your experience than you think

allow people to make up their own minds about you

you cannot resist something without becoming a part of it

defensiveness = aggression

your brain loves drama, channel it into writing instead of worrying

potatoes are the superior food

movement works better for anxiety than trying to be still

don’t talk back to the loop

you don’t need more organization, you need more courage

everything is figureoutable

a little support goes a long way

it’s not that serious. nothing is that serious.

don’t wait for people to understand what you’re doing

trust that you have everything you need in this moment

Thank you for reading this collage of random thoughts and lessons. This has been a completely spontaneous post that sprung from me reflecting on 2024.

Let me know in the comments what, if anything, 2024 has taught you!

I wish you tons of moments of joy, creativity, and silliness in 2025 ✨
